San Francisco-based eXo, a developer of Java middleware for cloud computing, announced today that it has raised $6M in funding. The round came from Auriga Partners and XAnge Capital. The firm said that as part of the acquisition, it has named Bob Bickel as its Chairman, added Auriga Partners Philippe Granger to its board, and also appointed Xange Capital's Nicholas Rose as a board director. Bkcle has previously served at Bluestone Software and JBoss, and on the boards of Hyperic and SpringSource. The new funding will go to accelerate ramp up of marketing and sales and the firm's U.S. operations. eXo's global headquarters are in France.
