Playdom said Wednesday afternoon that it has acquired
Three Melons, a developer of online games based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Playdom said that Three Melons has produced more than fifty games as a third-party developer, and recently released Bola, a Facebook soccer application. Playdom said that Three Melons currently has a forty-five person studio. Mariano Suarez Battan, CEO of Three Melons, CTO Patricio Jutard, co-founders Augusto Petrone, Pablo Mayer, and Nicholas Cuneo are all joining Playdom as part of the acquisition.
