VeriFone Acquires Interest In Joint Venture
San Jose-based VeriFone Holdings, a provider of secure payment services, announced today that it has acquired the remaining minority interest in VeriFone Transportation Systems, which was a joint venture with TaxiTronic. The firm said VeriFone Transportation Systems has become part of its Integrated Systems organization. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The firm had entered into the joint venture in 2005. VTS provided fleet management and customer payment systems for taxis.
