Twitter Buys Tweetie
Twitter said Friday that it has acquired Atebits, the firm behind iPhone Twitter client Tweetie. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Atebits was the solo project of developer Loren Brichter, who has joined Twitter as part of the buy. Twitter said it will rename Tweetie to Twitter for iPhone, and make it a free application. Tweetie is currently $2.99 in the Apple App store.
