Alter Eco Gobbles Up $2M
San Francisco-based Alter Eco, a maker of artisanal, fair-trade, carbon-neutral foods such as chocolate, rice, sugar, and olive oil, said last week that it had raised $2M in a Serie A funding round. The round was led by Good Capital, and also included Serious Change Fund, Renewal2 Investment Fund, and Investors' Circle. Alter Eco's products are distributed through Whole Foods and other natural food stores.
