Santa Clara-based chip giant
Intel said today that it has made investments in San Mateo-based
Caring.com, an online site focused on information resources for family caregivers and Pleasanton-based
SmartZIP Analytics, a provider of investment ratings and analysis for residential properties, as part of its recent investments. The firm said it invested a total of $15M in those two companies, plus Washington, D.C.-based
Virtustream, an enterprise cloud infrastructure provider. The funding came from the $200 million Intel Capital Invest in America Technology Fund. Intel also said it has made recently investments in Tabula Digital (educational gaming), Overture Networks (Carrier Ethernet), and BlackArrow (advertising), though it did not provide further details on those investments.
