Google Reveals AdSense Split
Mountain View-based Google has revealed, for the first time, the company's split in its Google AdSense advertising program. The firm said today that it pays out 68% of the revenue it collects from advertisers for AdSense for content ads, and around 51% for search advertisements. The firm said it released the information for "greater transparency" for AdSense publishers. The firm said the remaining amount from the ads represent's Google's cost for "continued investment" in AdSense and AdWords--and has not changed since the program was launched in 2003.
