Veracyte Gets $28M
South San Francisco-based Veracyte, a developer of molecular cytology diagnostic products, has raised $28M in a Series B round. The round was led by Domain Associates, and also included Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, TPG Biotech, and Versant Ventures. The firm said that the round will go to brings its advanced testing service in thyroid cancer to market. The firm is also working on molecular testing for lung cancer.
