San Jose-based
NeuroSky, a developer of consumer-targeted, brain-computer interfaces, announced Tuesday that it has raised $11.8M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Taicom Capital, and also included W.R. Hambrecht and other prior investors. The firm said the funding brings the company's total raised to $18.6M. NeuroSky's consumer electronics products are used in videogames, toys, and other consumer uses. The firm said the funding will go towards bolstering its innovation and manufacturing capabilities due to demand for Mattel's MindFlex, The Star Wars Force Trainer, and partnerships with Toshiba and Sega.
