shopkick Picks Up $15M
Palo Alto-based shopkick, a developer of location-based mobile applications for physical retailers, said Wednesday evening that it has raised $15M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Greylock Partners, and partner Reid Hoffman, and also included Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Citi Growth Ventures & Innovation Group, and SV Angel, Ron Conway's angel investment firm. As part of the funding, Hoffman joins the company's board. Hoffman was previously an individual investor in the firm. Shopkick said the funds will go towards enhancing its location-based shopping product and for partnerships.
