Oclaro announced this morning that it has acquired
Mintera Corporation, a make or high speed, optical transport sub-systems. The deal was worth $12M in cash, plus up to $20M in earn-out based on future revenues. Oclaro said that Mintera had revenues of approximately $20M for the twelve months ended June 30, 2010. Mintera was venture backed by Court Square Ventures, Polaris Venture Partners, Portview Communications, RRE Ventures, and STAR Ventures, and was based in Acton, Mass. Oclaro said the buy broadens its 40 Gbps portfolio and accelerates 100 Gbps Coherent development at the firm.
