Solazyme, a developer of renewable, algae-based biofuels technology, announced this morning that it has raised $52M in a Series D funding round. According to the firm, the round was led by Braemer Energy Ventures and Morgan Stanley, with participation by prior investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, The Roda Group, Harris and Harris Group, VantagePoint Venture Partners, Zygote Ventures, CTTV Investments LLC, the venture capital arm of Chevron Technology Ventures LLC, and San-Ei Gen.
