Symantec Completes VeriSign Security Business Buy
Mountain View-based Symantec said Monday that it has completed its acquisition of VeriSign's identity and authentication business. The deal had originally been announced on May 19th. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Symantec said the acquisition includes Verisign's Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Code Signing Certificate Services, the Managed Public Key Infrastructure (MPKI) Services, the VeriSign Trust Seal, the VeriSign Identity Protection (VIP) Authentication Service and the VIP Fraud Detection Service (FDS).
