Transpond Acquired By Webtrends
San Francisco-based Transpond, a maker of social media and mobile publishing tools, has been acquired by Webtrends. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Webtrends, it has acquired Transpond and has launched Webtrends Apps for Facebook, web and mobile, based on the technology acquired from the company. Transpond was a developer of a platform designed for non-programmers to publish content to social networking sites and mobile platforms.
