Netflix In Streaming Deal with EPIX
Netflix said this morning that it has inked a deal with EPIX, a New York-based joint venture of Viacom, Paramount Pictures, MGM, and Lionsgate, to offer new releases and library titles. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. According to the two, the agreement will allow Netflix members to instantly watch titles from Paramount, Lionsgate and MGM via Netflix starting September 1st. The deal will give Netflix subscribers access to new release and movies 90 days after pay TV and subscription-on demand debuts.
