Redwood Shores-based Oracle said late Thursday that it is suing Google over patent and copyright infringement. Oracle said that Google has "knowingly, directly, and repeatedly" infringed on Oracle's Java-related intellectual property when it developed its Android mobile operating system. Oracle said it is seeking "appropriate remedies" for the infringement. Oracle did not specifically outline the patents in question.
