Pacific Biosystems, a developer of tools for DNA, RNA, and protein analysis, has filed for an IPO. According to an S-1 filed by the firm this morning, it is looking to raise up to $200M on the NASDAQ Global Market as PACB. The IPO is being underwritten by J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank Securities, and Piper Jaffray. Pacific Biosystems is backed by Mohr Davidow Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Maverick Capital, Gen-Probe, Alloy Ventures, Blackstone Group, and Deerfield Partners, among others.
