3PAR Acquired By Dell
Fremont-based data storage provider 3PAR is being acquired by Dell in a $1.15 billion deal, Dell announced this morning. 3PAR, is a developer of storage virtualization technology used for virtualized data centers and cloud computing in the enterprise. Dell said that it will continue to maintain and invest in additional engineering and sales capability at 3PAR's Fremont location, and that it has no plans to move operations. 3PAR was publicly listed on the NYSE as PAR.
