Google today said that it has specifically made it easier for users of
Yahoo to use its services, by supporting the OpenID standard. The OpenID standard allows users to log into other web sites and accounts using their same login and passwords. According to Google, it has begun using OpenID, so users from Yahoo can simply use Yahoo for verification and log-in, rather than a more complicated process which required users to switch to your mailbox, click on a link, and otherwise create a new account to access the site. Google said the support will allow users of Yahoo's services to access Google Groups, Docs, Reader, AdWords and other service using their existing Yahoo account.
