Sofinnova Ventures Adds General Partner
Menlo Park-based venture capital firm Sofinnova Ventures announced today that it has added Garheng Kong, M.D., Ph.D., as a General Partners. Kong joins the company from Intersouth Partners, where he was also a General Partner. According to Sofinnova, Kong will invest in biopharmaceutical companies from the firm's current fund, SVP VII. Kong has also served at Glaxo Wellcome, and led Intersouth's investments in Cellective Therapeutics, Serenex, Novamin Technologies, Alimera Sciences, Cempra, and Viamet Pharmaceuticals.
