Ooyala Gets $22M From Asian Partners
Mountain View-based Ooyala, a provider of online video hosting, analytics, and advertising said today that has raised $22M in a Series D funding round. The round was led by CID Group, and also included ITOCHU, Sierra Ventures, and Rembrandt Venture Partners. According to the firm, the new round brings it to a total of $42M raised in funding. Ooyala said the funding is the first close, and that it expects a second close on the funding in the next 60 days. Ooyala explained that it has seen more than 300 percent, year-over-year top line growth, and that the funding comes as a strategic investment as it expands in the Asia Pacific region.
