Quantenna Communications announced this morning that it has raised $21M more, in a Series E funding round. The round was led by DAG Ventures, a new investor in the firm, and included prior investors Sequoia Capital, Sigma Partners, Southern Cross Venture Partners, and Venrock Associates. According to the firm, the new funding will go to accelerate product deployment of its products. Quantenna is a developer of 4x4 MIMO 802.11n Wi-Fi chipsets. The firm said its chips are the only, commercially available 802.11n, commercial grade chipsets. The firm said its chips are "essential" for distributing multiple, high definition, 1080p video streams to wireless devices. The new funding brings the company's total raised to at least $62.6M.
