AOL Buys TechCrunch
AOL Inc. said this morning that it has agreed to acquire blog empire TechCrunch, the opinionated technology news site founded by Michael Arrington. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to AOL, the acquisition will expand its content offerings. AOL said that TechCrunch will retain editorial independence, and that the firm will remain in San Francisco, as a wholly owned unit of AOL.
