Crosslink Capital said this week that it has closed on a $200M venture fund, focused on information technology and energy technology investments. The firm said the fund, Crosslink Ventures VI, is stage independent but will have a bias towards early-stage investments. New LP investors in the fund include Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Guardian's Cheng Wang, a Principal at Guardian, will join Crosslink's Advisory Board for the new fund. Crosslink is an investor in such firms as hi5, LiveScribe, Pandora, Ancestry.com, Omniture, and Equinix. The new fund brings the firm's total under management to $1.5 billion. The firm said it has approximately $400M of investable venture capital in its current funds.
