Proferi Gets $6.3M From Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock, Others
Redwood City-based Proferi, a stealth-mode firm developing cloud-based, enterprise performance management software, has raised $6.3M in a Series A funding, the firm said today. The round came from Greylock Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, and Dave Duffield, the founder of PeopleSoft. As part of the funding, Andreessen Horowitz's Ben Horowitz joins the board, as does Grelock's Aneel Bhusri. Proferi did not outline what it is developing, but said it has "multiple Fortune 1000 companies" developing its applications. Proferi is headed by Christian Gheorghe.
