San Francisco-based
iSkoot, the developer of mobile social networking and Skype communications software for mobile phones, has been acquired by
Qualcomm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Qualcomm, its subsidiary, Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc., has acquired newly former iSkoot Technologies, a new firm which includes substantially all of the assets of iSkoot. iSkoot was backed by Charles River Ventures, Jesselson Capital, Khosla Ventures, Vision Opportunity Master Fund, and ZG Ventures.
