Facebook Plans $450M Data Center In North Carolina
Facebook said Thursday that it has plans to open a new, $450M data center in North Carolina. North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue said the construction of the center is expected to create more than 250 construction and mechanical jobs during construction, and ultimately employ around 35-45 full time and contract workers. The center comes on top of another, new data center Facebook is building in Oregon, which is expected to start operations in 2011.
