Stipple Sees $2M
San Francisco-based Stipple, a developer of services which allows users to annotate, share, and monetize photos on the web, said this morning that it has raised $2M in a seed funding round. The round was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and FLOODGATE. Other investors in the round included Naval Ravikant, Eghosa Omoigui, Global Brain Corporation, Quest Venture Partners, Parkview Ventures, John Ferber, Justin Timberlake and Rick Marini. Stipple, which is headed by Rey Flemings, allows users to label content within pictures on web site, tagging those photos and linking them to other information, e-commerce sites, and more. As part of the funding, Mike Maples and Eghosa Omoigui have joined the company's board.
