Beceem Acquisition Completes
Santa Clara-based Beceem Communications is now officially part of Broadcom, as Broadcom said it completes its acquisition of the maker of LTE and WiMAX 4G, systems-on-a-chip (SoC) products. Broadcom said the deal was worth $316M net of cash. Beceem had been venture backed by DoCoMo Capital, Global Catalyst Partners, Intel Capital, KTB Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Mitsui & Co., NEC, Samsung Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Walden International.
