Google Ups Investment In SCVNGR
Google Ventures, the venture investment arm of Google, has upped its funding in Boston-based SCVNGR, a developer of mobile check-in software. According to SCVNGR, it has raised $15M in a funding round led by Balderton Capital, and which also included Google Ventures and Highland Capital. Google led SCVNGR's last funding round, in December of 2009. SCVNGR allows users to compete in a game focused on checking into different places with your mobile phone.
