Redwood City-based
Qik, which develops mobile video services, has been acquired by
Skype, Skype announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Skype said the move will help its team to develop new and innovative products. Qik was founded in 2006, and was backed by Quest Venture Partners, Marc Benioff, Arjun Gupta, George Garrick, Marc Andressen, and Ben Horowitz.
