ACUSIM Software, a developer of computational fluid dynamics computation software, has been acquired by
Altair Engineering. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Altair Engineering is a provider of simulation technology and engineering services, and said it will incorporate ACUSIM's computation fluid dynamics solver into its own, HyperWorks computer aided engineering products.
ACUSIM's products are used by customers such as Bechtel, Chevron, John Deere, Procter & Gamble, Toyota, Vestas, Visteon and Whirlpool. Altair said that ACUSIM will continue to operate form its California facility.
