Rdio Lands $17.5M
San Francisco-based Rdio, the online social music service started by Skype founders Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom, has raised $17.5M in a funding round, the firm said today. The new round included Mangrove Capital Partners, Atomico, Skype, as well as Janus Friis. Rdio said the new fund will go towards expanding its platform, hiring new talent, and expanding consumer outreach.
