Autodesk said Tuesday afternoon that it intends to acquire
Scaleform Corporation, a developer of user interface tools and middleware, for $36M in cash. Scaleform's technology is used to develop computer games, including titles for the PCs, Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3 (PS3), Sony Playstation Portable (PSP), and Nintendo Wii. Scaleform is based in Greenbelt, Maryland.
