has won the bidding war for
Conexant
, after
Standard Microsystems
declined to up its bid for the semiconductor maker. Conexant said Wednesday afternoon that it has terminated its earlier merger agreement with SMSC, paying SMSC $7.7M, and agreed to be acquired by Golden Gate Capital.
