Google Lets Users Hide Sites
In what may be a preview of using its users to filter out low quality web sites, Google said Thursday that it has begun allowing users to block out sites they do not like, are offensive, or deliver low quality results. Google said currently, the hiding of sites is linked to a user's account; however, the firm said it will be looking at the data from the program to determine how it might use it to affect future search result.
