Celera Acquired By Quest Diagnostics For $327M
Alameda-based Celera, which develops genetic diagnostics technology, has been acquired by Quest Diagnostics, the firms said this morning. According to the two, Quest Diagnostics will pay $8 per share, or approximately $344M, for Celera, for a net transacation value of $327M including cash and short term investments acquired. the companies said Celera had revenues of $128M in 2010.
