TechShop Raises $6.0M
Menlo Park-based TechShop, which operates a members-only service which gives hackers and tinkerers access to machinery and tooling, has raised $6.0M in funding, according to a recent regulatory filing. Source of the funding was not disclosed. TechShop offers up milling machines and lathes, welding stations and a CNC plasma cutter, sheet metal working equipment, drill presses and band saws, industrial sewing machines, hand tools, plastic and wood working equipment to members, who can use them to design their own products.
