PicScout, a developer of software used to track image use, metadata, and licensing on the web, has been acquired by
Getty Images. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Getty Images said the buy will build and grow its products and services. Getty also said it plans to invest in PicScout's technology, which is used by photographers and agencies to track the usage of their images online.
