San Francisco-based
Astro Gaming, which develops headphones for the computer gaming market, has been acquired. According to
Skullcandy, which also makes audio headphones and accessories, it paid $10.8M to acquire Astro Gaming. The deal closed on April 22nd. Skullcandy, which is based in Park City, Utah, revealed the buy in a regulatory filing Friday. Astro Gaming was backed by
Fayez Sarofim & Co,
Triangle Peak Partners, Chad DiNenna, and
Gilbert Arenas.
