SugarMade Raises $2.16M
San Jose-based SugarMade, which is developing tree-free paper products based on sugar production byproducts (bagasse), has raised $2.16M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing from the firm. Source of the funding was not disclosed. SugarMade says its products help provide a more sustainable way to produce paper, improving the way the paper industry utilizes natural resources.
