Trimble Buys Yamei Electronics Technology
Sunnyvale-based Trimble, the developer of GPS related products, said today that it has acquired Yamei Electronics Technology, Co., Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer of automotive anti-theft, GPS monitoring and tracking systems. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Trimble said the buy will help it expand into markets in China, Asia Pacific and India. Yamei becomes part of Trimble's Mobile Solutions segment.
