San Jose-based
Apache Design Solutions, a developer of electronics simulation software, has been acquired by
ANSYS, a fellow simulation software developer, in a deal worth $310M in cash. Apache Design Solutions develops software used for designing power-efficient devices, including smartphones, tablet PCs, LCD televisions, laptops, and servers. Apache was backed by Intel Capital. The firm had filed for an IPO in February.
