San Jose-based
Force10 Networks, a developer of 10 Gigabit Ethernet switching hardware, has been acquired by
Dell Computer. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Force10 had been backed by Advanced Equities, Crosslink Capital, Morgenthaler Ventures, New England Partners Capital, New Enterprise Associates,, US Venture Partners, and Worldview Technology Partners, and had raised at least $200M in venture funding. Dell said Force10 Networks had $200M in revenues based on its trailing 12 months.
