Redwood City-based
Omidyar Network, the philanthropic investment arm of eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, said this week that it is funding an innovation center in Nigeria, to the tune of $200,000. The group said the new center, being create in conjunction with The Indigo Trust, will serve as a multi-functional, multi-purpose space focused on social technology ventures. The space is geared at accommodating 50-60 tech startups at a time, focused on creating technology based solutions to issues in Nigeria.
