GestureTek Sells Technology To Qualcomm
Sunnyvale-based GestureTek, a developer of gesture recognition technology for the mobile phone market, has sold off a numbe rof its gesture regonition technology intellectual property assets to Qualcomm. Financial details of the sale were not disclosed. Qualcomm said today that it has acquired certain of GestureTek's gesture recognition assets, including engineering resources, which it will integrate into its mobile processors. GestureTek apparently is retaining other assets related to gesture-controlled public display and digital signage, according to Qualcomm. GestureTek is backed by Telefonica.
