Sony Computer Entertainment Buys Game Studio Sucker Punch
Foster City-based Sony Computer Entertainment announced this morning that it has acquired videogames developer SUcker Punch Productions. Sony said that the acquisition will help it in developing games on the PlayStation, and is the sixteenth studio to join the firm. Sucker Punch develops the Sly Cooper and inFamous franchises for the Playstation 2 and 3. Sony said that Sucker Punch will be run by its current management team, in conjunction with SCE WWS Foster City Studio.
