RootMusic Raises $16M For BandPage
San Francisco-based RootMusic, the developer of social music app BandPage for Facebook, said Wednesday that it has raised $16M in a Series B round of funding. According to the company, the round was led by GGV Capital, and also included Northgate Capital and Mohr Davidow Ventures. BandPage allows bands and artists to connect directly with their fans through a Facebook application. As part of the funding, Hany Nada of GGV joins the company's board. RootMusic is headed by J. Sider.
