Striiv, a developer of electronic devices aimed at motivating fitness, said today that it has raised $6M in a Series A funding round. The round came from id Ventures, led by Dr. Ronald Chwang, along with angels Colin Angle (iRobot), Dado Banatao (Tallwood Ventures), and other angels. The firm said the funding will go towards the launch next month of its device, which applies gamification and video games towards health and wellness. Chwang and Angle both join the company's board along with the funding.
