In-Q-Tel. Scott Weiss of Andreessen Horowitz joins the company's board. Platfora is developing business analytics softare for analyzing Hadoop clusters, including those from
Cloudera, MapR, and Amazon EMR. The firm's CEO and founder is
Ben Werther, who has previous experience at DataStax, Greenplum, and Microsoft.
